Our next event, which is a wine tasting kindly arranged by wine lovers Cindy and Dotty, will be held on Wednesday 5 March at 7.30pm above the EDT as usual.
We are very pleased to announce that as a result of your support in buying raffle tickets over recent months, we will be able to cover the cost of this event, which would otherwise be £5 per member.
Alex Thorp, from Toasted, which arrived on Lordship Lane nine months ago. will give a brief introduction on wine appreciation and we will then taste a selection of diverse regional wines from all corners of Spain.
Alex and Abel, who is pictured below and who you may recognise, will also ask us to try a selection of food from their contemporary menu, prepared by chef Michael Hazelwood, to complement the wine.
Toasted has also very generously donated a prize for our raffle. Rachel will be selling five raffle tickets for £2 on the night so be sure to bring some pocket money!
If you are planning to renew your membership, please arrive between 7pm and 7.15pm with your completed application form, a copy of which is attached, together with the membership fee of £34.70. We will be starting the event promptly at 7.30pm.
