For helping Dementia patients the NHS are asking for Twiddle Muffs

Knitters are being urged to help out dementia patients by a charity and a hospital trust.

Hyndburn Homewise and East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is appealing to east Lancashire knitters to make and donate “twiddle muffs”.

Items can be attached to the knitted bands that a patient with dementia can twiddle in their hands which can stimulate them and reduce agitation.
