At our meeting next week on Wednesday 13 August 2014, we will be returning to Dulwich Croquet Club near Herne Hill Station for a picnic and croquet. The club is located at Dulwich Sports Club, Giant Arches Road, London, SE24 9HB. It is located between Herne Hill and Dulwich Village.
David Collins, who has been playing croquet for over twenty years, will teach us the basics before getting us teamed up to play games of five hoops. The team scoring the greatest number of hoops will be declared the winners.
Please make sure you bring:
- Food and snacks for the picnic
- Flat shoes for the croquet lawn
- Pocket money for the raffle and bar, and
- An umbrella or kagool in case it rains (we all remember last year!)
Click here for a map showing the location of Dulwich Sports Club together with the nearest train stations and bus stop. The 37 bus runs from East Dulwich to Herne Hill in around 10 minutes. Listen out for Ruskin Walk stop, this is the closest to the club.
