An Evening with a Royal Butler

Wednesday 5th September – 7.30pm

Upstairs at the East Dulwich Tavern

We are excited to be welcoming William French to our September meeting when he will tell us about his amazing life as a butler to royalty and the stars and how he got there.  During his distinguished career he served the Royal Family on the Royal Yacht Britannia, Princess Diana at Kensington Palace and even Hollywood stars Nicole Kidman, Tom Cruise and Robert Redford.

At his peak he was the number one butler in London, carving himself a lucrative career that allowed him to travel the world and retire at the tender age of 40. He may even tell us some secrets about one of his famous employers, some ‘chicken fillets’ and an evening dress! It’s going to be a fascinating talk.

He will be bringing along some copies of his DVD which will be available to buy and we will also have a copy of Debrett’s Guide to Entertaining Etiquette as our raffle prize.

If that’s not enough, to make William feel at home the evening will have a garden party theme, complete with three themed cocktails you can buy, some cream tea treats and bunting. It’s going to be a right royal night out!

What to Bring

Money – you’ll want to buy one of the delicious cocktails….or two! Plus raffle tickets and William’s DVDs will be on sale

Questions – what inside secrets do you want to know about the royal family? William may not be able to answer – but you can but ask!

A Friend – you’re welcome to bring along a friend. They just need to pay a £3 guest fee on the night
